Case किसे कहते है?

किसी वाक्य में संज्ञा या सर्वनाम का दुसरें शब्दों के साथ सम्बन्ध को कारक यानि Case कहते है. अर्थात, संज्ञा या सर्वनाम शब्द की वह अवस्था है, जिसके द्वारा वाक्य में उसका सम्बन्ध क्रिया के साथ प्रकट होता है, उसे कारक कहते हैं.

Definition: The relation in which a noun stands to some other words, or the change of the form by which this relation is indicated, is called the Case. Or

In English grammar, case refers to the grammatical function of a noun or pronoun in a sentence. There are three main cases in English: subjective, objective, and possessive.

The subjective case is used for the subject of a sentence, such as “I” or “he.”
The objective case is used for the object of a sentence, such as “me” or “him.”
The possessive case is used to indicate possession or ownership, such as “my” or “his.”
For example, in the sentence “I kicked the ball,” “I” is in the subjective case as it is the subject of the sentence, and “ball” is in the objective case as it is the object of the verb “kicked.” In the sentence “The ball is mine,” “mine” is in the possessive case indicating possession of the noun “ball”.

Kinds of case |कारक के प्रकार

बनावट और प्रयोग के अनुसार ट्रेडिशनल ग्रामर में Case को चार वर्गों में विभाजित किया गया है. लेकिन मॉडर्न classification में इसे तीन वर्गों में बाँटा गया है. लेकिन आप यहाँ चारों Case का अध्ययन करेंगे ताकि आगे आपको कोई परेशानी न हो.

Nominative case (कर्त्ता कारक )
Objective case (कर्म कारक )
Possessive case (सम्बन्ध कारक )
Vocative case (सम्बोधन कारक )

1. Nominative case in hindi

Nominative case (कर्त्ता कारक )—जब कोई Noun या Pronoun किसी Verb के कर्त्ता के रूप में प्रयुक्त हो तो Nominative case कहा जाता है|

Nominative case — A Noun or Pronoun that functions as subject of a verb is placed in Nominative case.

Example-

Raheem has called me.
He comes to me everyday.
How old is your sister?
Can you help me?
The Red Fort is a famous building.
He has gone to Mumbai.
यहाँ रहीम, वह, Your sister, you वाक्य में Called, is, has, comes आदि के सब्जेक्ट के रूप में कार्य कर रहा है. अतः यह Nominative Case में है.

Note:- Nominative Case को ही Subject कहा जाता है.

2. Objective case in hindi

Objective case (कर्म कारक)—एक संज्ञा या सर्वनाम जो क्रिया की वस्तु के रूप में कार्य करता है, उसे वस्तुनिष्ठ स्थिति में रखा जाता है।

Objective case— A Noun or Pronoun that functions as object of a verb is placed in Objective case.

Example-

He helped Pooja.
You teach her.
He beat me.
Ram abused me.
यहाँ Pooja, her, me का प्रयोग helped, teach, beat और abused के रूप में हुआ है. अर्थात, क्रिया का प्रभाव Pooja, her और me पर पड़ा है. अतः ये Objective Case में है.

Note:- Objective Case को ही Object कहा जाता है.

Objective Case को मुख्यतः दो भागो में विभाजित किया गया है.

• Accusative Case
• Dative Case

यह Object के विभिन्न रूप को दर्शाता है.

Accusative Case

जब Objective Case का प्रयोग वस्तु सूचक कर्म के रूप में हो, तो वह Accusative Case में होता है. जैसे;

He gave me a pen.
Sunil has brought a book to Sohan.
वाक्य में pen और book, give और brought का objects है. अर्थात, ये Accusative Case है.

Dative Case

जब objective Case का प्रयोग वस्तु सूचक कर्म के रूप में होता है, तो वह Dative Case में होना कहा जाता है. जैसे;

He gave me a book.
Sunil gave him a pen.
यहाँ me और him Indirect Object है. इसलिए, ये Dative Case में है.

3. Vocative Case in hindi

Vocative Case ( संबोधन कारक )—जब किसी Noun को संबोधन कर या पुकारकर कुछ कहा या पूछा जाए, तो वह Vocative Case में होता है.

Vocative case—When a noun is said or asked something by addressing or calling, it is called Vocative Case.

Come here, Jikesh.
Go there, Ritika.
Come on, boys.
Come on, Guys.
यहाँ दिए गए वाक्य में Jikesh, Ritika, Boys और Guys का प्रयोग संबोधन के रूप में हुआ है. अतः ये Vocative Case में है.

Note:- Vocative Case का प्रयोग सामान्यतः संबोधन का भाव व्यक्त करने के लिए होता है.

4. Possessive Case in hindi

Possessive Case (संबंध कारक)—जब किसी Noun, Pronoun या Adjective का प्रयोग किसी व्यक्ति या वस्तु के साथ सम्बन्ध जोड़ने के लिए या अधिकार व्यक्त करने के लिए किया जाए, तो वह वाक्य Possessive Case में होना कहा जाता है.

Possessive Case—When a noun show its relation with or possession on another noun is in Possessive Case.

This is Ram’s book.
These are the legs of the table.
These pens are mine.
She is a sister of my friend.
She is his wife.
यहाँ Ram’s, legs of, mine, his आदि से सम्बन्ध या अधिकार का बोध होता है. अतः ये Possessive Case में है.

Note:– Possessive Case का प्रयोग अधिकार व्यक्त करने के लिए होता है. इसका सबसे अधिक प्रयोग Apostrophe of ( ‘ ) या [ ‘s ] के रूप में अधिकार के लिए होता है. जिसका शाब्दिक हिंदी अर्थ, का, के और की होती है.
